CBST44HDG Column Base
The CBST cast-in-place column base is designed to connect wood posts to concrete securely and reliably, providing a practical solution for a range of applications. It is ideal for residential and light commercial construction, offering increased download capacity for improved load performance. This base maintains the code-required 1" standoff between wood posts and concrete, which helps reduce the risk of post-end rot from moisture exposure. It also includes S-shaped bearing tabs to enhance load-bearing capacity and stability. The CBST serves as a replacement for CBS models, delivering improved functionality while meeting structural requirements.

Installation
- Use all specified fasteners; see General Notes
- Install with two machine bolts
- Install CBST with bottom of standoff flush to top of concrete
- Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non-top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports)
