Product Overview
TSET32 Timber-SET Structural Epoxy Anchoring Adhesive
Timber-SET is the first code-listed epoxy adhesive for glued-in rods (GIR) in glulam. Tested and proven for strength, Timber-SET provides reliable, concealed connections throughout a mass timber structure. It’s ideal for steel-to-wood, column-to-column, column-to-foundation, beam-to-column and beam splice connections. For a total GIR solution, install Timber-SET with Simpson Strong-Tie threaded rods, centering and retaining caps, dispensing and cleaning tools and Strong-Drive structural screws. Wherever the next project takes you, Timber-SET is readily available and backed by expert service and support.
- Provides a high-strength, concealed connection by anchoring threaded rods in wood
- Shop-installed rods enable quick attachment of timber to steel in the field
- Approved for five rod diameter options (1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1")
- Load values and spacing requirements for both parallel-to-grain and perpendicular-to-grain applications
- Tested with cyclic axial load for seismic applications
- Tested for fluctuations in wood moisture content during construction
- Gel viscosity limits adhesive from flowing out of the hole during horizontal installations
- Thixotropic formulation allows adhesive to flow under pressure
- Neutral gray color minimizes potential for staining of exposed timber
- Threaded rod anchor installations in glue-laminated timber (glulam) and solid sawn assemblies
- Parallel-to-grain or perpendicular-to-grain installation options
- AMN19Q mixing nozzle included with each cartridge
- Gray

|---|---|---|---|
| 1. For installation where ambient temperature is between 50°F and 70°F (10°C and 21°C), the adhesive must be conditioned to a minimum temperature of 70°F (21°C). 2. The anchors may be adjusted during the gel time following installation. 3. Anchors must not be disturbed between gel time and curing time. The anchors may be loaded after the full curing time has elapsed. |
