ORNAMENTAL DECK TENSION TIE PC/ZMAX
The Outdoor Accents DTT1PC deck tension tie is ideal for both new construction and retrofits, offering a safe, code-compliant way to secure decks to homes — without the need to access interior floor joists. It provides a strong, reliable lateral load connection that helps decks meet the International Residential Code (IRC) requirement for a 750 lb. connection to the supporting structure at four locations per deck. The DTT1PC is made from ZMAX galvanized steel for superior corrosion resistance with a stylish black powder coat for added beauty. Other models are available in ZMAX and Type 316 stainless steel, offering flexibility for a range of environmental conditions.
- Provides a code-compliant deck-to-house attachment without requiring access to interior floor joists
- Installs on the narrow or wide face of a single 2x member
- Ideal for new construction and retrofits
- Accepts a 3/8" bolt, anchor bolt, lag screw (with washer), or Strong-Drive® SDWH™ screw for structural anchorage
- 14 ga.
- ZMAX® galvanized steel with a black powder-coat finish

- May be installed on the narrow or wide face of a single 2x member
- Acceptable anchorage includes a 3/8" bolt, anchor bolt, lag screw (with standard washer), or Strong-Drive® SDWH™ Timber-Hex or Timber-Hex SS screws
- Outdoor Accents® connector screws install with a 1/4" hex-head driver
- Strong-Drive SDWH Timber-Hex HDG screws install with a 3/8" hex-head driver (Model BITHEXR38-R1)
