Product Overview
PFC3-SDS Post Frame Column Angle
Post Base Angle, 2x4 / Corner w/SDS
The PFC post frame column angle delivers a fast, reliable, code‑listed solution for connecting posts to concrete in a variety of post frame applications. The PFC is designed to improve installation speed by eliminating through‑bolts and instead utilizes Simpson Strong‑Tie Strong‑Drive SDS Heavy‑Duty Connector screws, supplied with the product. Manufactured from heavy-gauge steel and featuring large corner embossments or edge stiffeners, the PFC provides high-performance, tested uplift and shear loads. Its G90 galvanized coating ensures long-lasting corrosion protection. PFC angles are available in a range of sizes to accommodate glulam, nail-lam, planed nail-lam and solid sawn widths, and - with the exception of the PFC3 - include a built‑in washer to simplify installation and reduce the chance of losing small components on the jobsite.
- Galvanized coating offers robust corrosion protection.
- No through-bolting required. SDS screws provide a better, more intuitive installation experience.
- Built-in washers for models PFC5 and PFC6.5 help prevent jobsite loss and are easily removed by hand.
- Industry-leading uplift capacities via heavy-duty steel construction, large corner embossments/stiffeners, and value-engineered anchorage tables.
- Fully tested and code listed to ensure strength, durability and peace of mind for specifiers and builders.
- 8 ga. and 10 ga.
- G90 Galvanized
- Use all specified fasteners/anchors.
- Before drilling in concrete and driving anchor screws or bolts, optional set-screw holes are provided for the PFC5 and PFC6.5 to temporarily secure connectors to the concrete foundation.
- For PFC5 and PFC6.5, detach the built-in washers and use them under the head of each concrete anchor. Reference accompanying installation images for correct washer placement. If needed, a ten-pack of replacement washers (PFCW-R10) is available for sale.
- The PFC3 requires a standard-cut washer (not supplied with product) for concrete anchorage.
