Product Overview
PP137-RP10 Adhesive Piston Plug (Pack of 10pcs)
ADHESIVE PISTON PLUG 1-3/8IN 10PK
The adhesive piston plug works in conjunction with the Simpson Strong‑Tie Piston Plug Delivery System for dispensing adhesive into drilled holes for threaded‑rod and rebar dowel installations in concrete. The system is engineered for overhead, upwardly inclined and horizontal orientations, as well as deep embedments and submerged (underwater) conditions. The matched tolerance design between the piston plug and the drilled hole virtually eliminates the formation of voids and air pockets during adhesive dispensing. A barbed end provides a reliable connection to the flexible extension tubing.
Piston plugs can also be used for glued‑in‑rod (GIR) installations in timber when paired with Timber‑SET® structural epoxy anchoring adhesive. Consistent adhesive distribution provided by the piston plug supports bond quality along the embedment depth for high‑strength GIR connections.
- Sized to fit each drilled hole diameter
- Model number is embossed on each plug for identification
- Helps reduce voids and air pockets for consistent adhesive placement
- Designed for use in a variety of installation orientations and embedment depths
- Works with any Simpson Strong‑Tie anchoring adhesive; Timber-SET adhesive applications are supported by models PP75‑RP10, PP87‑RP10, PP100‑RP10, PP112‑RP10 and PP125‑RP10
- Threaded‑rod and rebar installations in concrete using Simpson Strong‑Tie anchoring adhesives
- Glued‑in‑rod (GIR) installations in timber using Timber‑SET adhesive
- Suitable for vertical, horizontal and upwardly inclined (including overhead) installation orientations
- Ideal for applications requiring uniform adhesive distribution to help minimize voids and air pockets
- Installations where controlled adhesive placement is needed to support consistent bond quality across varying embedment depths and materials
