Product Overview
PPBF44 Adjustable Porch Post Base
Product Details
The PPBF adjustable porch post base safely supports porch framing through all phases of construction, eliminating the need for temporary vertical support and providing a stronger structure for contractors working on and around the porch roof. The seat adjusts to accommodate varying porch-slab thicknesses from 4" to 12", providing contractors with one-time installation of the post base and post at the beginning of construction. This adjustability gives contractors the option to set the post base at the correct height before the porch concrete slab is poured.
The PPBF fastens to the footing with two Titen Turbo concrete screws when framing the porch roof. The height of the post base can be adjusted by threading the seat up or down onto the threaded rod. The PPBF is tested and load rated to support the weight of most framed porches and overhangs before the post base is embedded in concrete. The table also provides load values for the base after it has been embedded in concrete.
Key Features
Makes the jobsite safer for installers and inspectors Allows builders to attach the post framing and post base to the foundation before the porch slab is poured with minimum 4” and maximum 12” height adjustability
